Sport teaches children to try, fall, get up and try again. Equestrian sport adds something more: a bond with an animal that needs care. Our programme introduces children and youth, including those from economically backward families, to riding and to life around horses.
What happens
- Meeting the horses and learning to approach them calmly.
- Groundwork, grooming and stable care.
- Supervised riding introductions, with safety gear.
- For those who wish to continue, a pathway towards regular practice and, where suitable, para-equestrian and competitive sport.
Who it is for
Children and youth from Bengaluru, Hosur and nearby areas, with priority for those who could not otherwise take part.
Safety
Safety and consent come first in every session, and we use safety equipment.
Take part
Email kingsequestrianfoundation@gmail.com or call 9980771166 or 9980895533. A parent or guardian must consent for every child.
How our programmes connect
Our five areas work together, with horses as partners in each. Explore sport, relief for families, health and wellbeing, rehabilitation and skills and education and leadership, or read about our horses, careers with horses and our founder. To support the work, donate or partner through CSR.
