Rehabilitation and Skills

Everyone can take part, and everyone can learn. This programme brings horses and people together in ways that suit each person’s abilities, and it builds skills that can lead to work.

Persons with disabilities

We work with participants, families and qualified professionals to design activities that suit each person, including adapted riding and groundwork and a pathway towards para-equestrian sport.

Older people

Sessions at the stable offer older people gentle activity, company and a sense of purpose.

Vocational training

We train people in the skills a stable depends on: grooming, farrier work, training assistance and stable management. We are working towards partnerships with skill development bodies so that training leads to recognised qualifications. See Skills and Careers.

Take part

Tell us about the person who would like to join and any support they need, and we will plan together. Write to kingsequestrianfoundation@gmail.com or call 9980771166.

How our programmes connect

Our five areas work together, with horses as partners in each. Explore sport, relief for families, health and wellbeing, rehabilitation and skills and education and leadership, or read about our horses, careers with horses and our founder. To support the work, donate or partner through CSR.
