Health and Wellbeing

Many people find calm and connection in the company of horses. Our equine-assisted programmes use that calm to support emotional wellbeing, alongside qualified professionals.

Equine-assisted wellbeing programmes

Participants take part in guided activities with horses, such as grooming, leading and quiet time at the stable. Sessions are designed to support confidence, focus and the ability to manage feelings. They complement, and do not replace, medical or professional treatment. If you or your child receives treatment, please tell us so that we can work with your care team.

Health, hygiene and sanitation awareness

We run awareness sessions on personal and community hygiene, safe contact with animals, and sanitation, for participants, families and local communities.

Consent and privacy

We ask for informed consent before any wellbeing session, with a parent or guardian’s consent for children. Personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy.

Students and researchers

Colleges with psychology and social work departments are welcome to talk to us about placements and projects. See Partner with Us.

How our programmes connect

Our five areas work together, with horses as partners in each. Explore sport, relief for families, health and wellbeing, rehabilitation and skills and education and leadership, or read about our horses, careers with horses and our founder. To support the work, donate or partner through CSR.
